I am receiving this error message on my TiVo. What does it mean and how do I fix it?
Q. What is Error V53?
A. Error V53 is the loss or degradation of RF signal to the TiVo Premiere.
Q. How do I resolve the V53 error?
A. This will rest entirely on how the TiVo Premiere is connected, or if the Sparklight Cable TV services includes a TiVo mini. Ask yourself, ''Do I have a TiVo mini?''. If the answer is yes, follow the steps for ''Splitter or MoCA (Actiontec) Bridge''. If the answer is no, please follow the steps under ''Direct Connection''.
- Disconnect the power from the TiVo unit, and inspect coax from the Premiere to the wall. Ensure the coax is not loose, broken, bent, or frayed. Reconnect power.
Splitter or MoCA (Actiontec) Bridge
- Disconnect the power from the TiVo unit, and inspect coax from the Premiere to the splitter or MoCA. Ensure the coax is not loose, broken, bent, or frayed. Reconnect power.
- Ensure the MoCA Bridge has power, and the Power, Ethernet, and Coax light is on. Reconnect power to the Premiere
