To set up your email, please find the corresponding platform you are using for directions.
- Outlook 2013/2016

Step 1: Open Outlook 2013 or 2016.
Step 2: Click the blue "File" menu, the n "Info", t he n "Add Account".
Step 3: Select "Manual setup or additional server type s" an d clic k "Next".
Step 4: Choos e "POP or IMAP" a nd click "Next".
Step 5: Enter the following information:
- Your Name: The name you want to display on outgoing email
- Email Address: Your full Sparklight email address
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server: mail.cableone.net
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.cableone.net
- User Name: Your full Sparklight email address
- Password: Your Sparklight email password
- Deliver new messages to: New Outlook Data File
Step 6: Click on "More settings"
Step 7: Go to th e "Outgoing Server" t ab at the top o f th e "Internet E-mail Settings" w indow. Check the box that says "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and the circle by "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
Step 8: Go to th e "Advanced" t ab at the top of the Properties window and make the following changes unde r "Server Port Numbers":
Check the box that says "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)" under "Incoming server (IMAP)".
The Incoming server (IMAP) directly above should automatically change to 993. If it does not, please manually change it.
Below Outgoing server (SMTP), select (SSL) or (TLS) from the drop-down menu and then manually change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port number above to 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS).
Step 9: Click "OK" at the bottom of the "Internet E-mail Settings" window, the n "Finish" i n the "Add New E-mail Account" window.
That's it! Your Sparklight email should now be working in Outlook 2013/2016. - Outlook 2010

Step 1: Open Outlook 2010 from your desktop or Start menu.
Step 2: Select the colorful "File" menu at the top left. Select the "Info" category just below the file menu, and to the right, click the "Add Account" shown with a green 'plus' symbol.
Step 3: The "Auto Account Setup" screen will appear; select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" at the bottom and click the "Next " button in the bottom right corner.
Step 4: The "Choose Service" screen will appear; select "Internet E-mail" and click the "Next" button in the bottom right corner.
Step 5: The "Internet E-mail Settings" page will appear; enter the following information:
User Information:
- Your Name: The name you want to display on outgoing email (e.g. First/Last name).
- E-mail Address: Your full Sparklight email address (e.g. user@cableone.net)
Server Information:
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server: mail.cableone.net
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.cableone.net
Login Information:
- User Name: Your full Sparklight email address (e.g. user@cableone.net)
- Password: Your Sparklight email password
- Keep the "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" unchecked.
Step 7: Click on the "More Settings..." button in the lower right.
Step 8: The "Internet E-Mail Settings" window will appear; select the "Outgoing Server" tab at the top of the window. In this tab, check the box that says "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and select the option "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".
Step 9: Select the "Advanced" tab at the top of the "Internet E-Mail Settings" window and make the following changes:
Under "Incoming server (IMAP):" where it reads "Use the following type of encrypted connection:" select the drop-down menu and choose "SSL." The port number above will automatically change to the correct number, 993.
Under "Outgoing Server (SMTP):" where it reads "Use the following type of encrypted connection:" select the drop-down menu and choose (SSL) or (TLS).
Change the number in the "Outgoing server (SMTP):" box to 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS).
Note: Port numbers may change after selecting the encryption type.
Once completed, press the "OK" button at the bottom.
Step 10: The "Internet E-mail Settings" window will appear; click the "Next" button in the lower right corner.
Step 11: The "Congratulations!" window will appear; click the "Finish" button in the bottom right corner.
That's it! Your Sparklight email should now be working in Outlook 2010.
- Outlook 2007

Step 1: Open your start menu and select "Outlook 2007".
Step 2: At the top of Outlook 2007 select the "Tools" menu; then select "Account Settings…"
Step 3: The "Account Settings" window will appear. On the left of the window, under the "E-mail" tab, select "New".
Step 4: The "Choose E-mail Service" window will appear; Select the "Microsoft Exchange, POP 3, IMAP, or HTTP" option and click the "Next >" button in the lower right corner.
Step 5: The "Auto Account Setup" window will appear; check the "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" box at the bottom left corner of the window and click the "Next >" button in the lower right corner.
Step 6: The "Choose E-mail Service" window will appear; select "Internet E-mail" option then click the "Next >" button in the bottom right corner.
Step 7: The "Internet E-mail Settings" window will appear; enter the following information:
User Information:- Your Name: Name you would like displayed on all your sent messages (e.g. First/Last name).
- E-mail Address: Your full Sparklight email address (e.g. user@cableone.net)
Server Information:
- Account Type: In the drop-down menu select "IMAP"
- Incoming mail server: mail.cableone.net
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.cableone.net
Login Information:
- User Name: Your full Sparklight email address. (e.g. user@cableone.net)
- Password: Your Sparklight account password.
- Keep the "Remember this password" checked.
- Keep the "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" unchecked.
- Press the "More Settings…" button in the lower right corner.
Step 8: The "Internet E-mail Settings" will appear; select the "Outgoing Server" tab at the top of the screen. In this tab, check the "Outgoing server requires authentication" box and keep the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" option selected.
Step 9: Select "Advanced" tab at the top of the "Internet E-mail Settings" window.
Under "Incoming server (IMAP)" the section that reads "Use the following type of encrypted connection", select SSL from the drop-down menu.
Under "Outgoing server (SMTP)" the section that reads "Use the following type of encrypted connection", select (SSL) or (TLS) from the drop-down menu.
Step 10: Enter the following information for the port numbers:- Incoming server (IMAP): 993
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
Note: Port numbers may change after selecting the encryption type.
Once completed press the "OK" button in the lower right corner.
Step 11: The "Internet E-mail Settings" window will appear; click the "Next >" button in the lower right corner.

- Once you have entered these settings, click "Next".

- Account name: Your full Sparklight email address.
- Password: Your Sparklight email password.
- Once you have entered these settings, click "Next".
Step 9: Click "Finish". Please note that there are still more steps to complete!
Step 10: Highlight your Sparklight email address in the Internet Accounts window and select "Properties".
Step 11: Go to the "Servers" tab at the top of the Properties window and check the box at the very bottom under "Outgoing Mail Server" that says "My server requires authentication".
Step 12: Go to the "Advanced" tab at the top of the Properties window and make the following changes under "Server Port Numbers":
Check the boxes that say "This server requires a secure connection (SSL) or (TLS)" under both "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" and "Incoming mail (IMAP)"- Incoming mail (IMAP): 993
- Outgoing mail (SMTP): 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
Step 13: Click "OK" at the bottom, then close the Internet Accounts window.
That's it! Your Sparklight email should now be working in Outlook Express. - Windows 10

Step 1 : At the welcome screen, click 'Get Started', then click '+ Add Account'.
Step 2 : From the 'Choose an Account' screen, select 'Advanced Setup' then 'Internet Email'.
Step 3 : Enter the required information listed on the page.- Email Address: This is the name you'll see in the left pane of the Mail app.
- Username : This will be the full Sparklight email address.
- Password : This is your Sparklight password.
- Account Name : This is the name of the account. For example, you can name it CableONE.
- Your Name : This is your name as you would like it to appear next to your email address when sending mail. As an example, this could be John Smith, J. Smith or John S.
- Incoming Mail Server : This will be mail.cableone.net
- POP3 or IMAP4 server : Select the server type you wish to use. NOTE : POP3 copies email from the server's inbox to your inbox. IMAP4 makes a mirror image of the folders and emails within those folders in Windows 10 Mail.
- Outgoing Mail Server : This will be mail.cableone.net
- Outgoing Server Requires Authentication : This needs to be checked
- Use the same username and password for sending mail : This needs to be checked
- Require SSL for incoming email : This needs to be checked.
- Require SSL for outgoing email : This needs to be checked.
Step 4 : Click Sign in.
If there are no error messages, you have successfully created your Sparklight account in Windows 10 Mail. If you have difficulty with your account, ensure all of your information is correct.Incoming Email Server Info: IMAP4

Step 2: At the top left corner of Windows Live Mail next to "Home", click on the dark blue menu button.
Step 3: Choose "Options" and from the list on the right choose "Email Accounts".
Step 4: The "Accounts" window will open, here select "Add" on the right.
Step 5: The "Add an account" window will open, select "Email Account" then click "Next" button in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 6: The "Add your email accounts" window will open. Enter the following information:- Email address: Your full Sparklight email address. (e.g. user@cableone.net)
- Password: Your Sparklight account password.
- Keep "Remember this password" checked.
- Display name for your sent messages: Name you would like displayed on all your sent messages.
- At the bottom of the page check the "Manually configure server settings" and press the "Next" button in the lower right corner of the screen.
Step 7: The "Configure server settings" window should be displayed. Enter the following information:
Incoming server information
- Server type: select "IMAP"
- Server address: mail.cableone.net
- Check the box below "Server address" marked "Requires a secure connection (SSL)"
- Confirm the "Port" number changes to "993".
- Authenticate using: Clear text
- Logon username: Full Sparklight email address (e.g. user@cableone.net)
Outgoing server information
- Server address: mail.cableone.net
- Check the box "Requires a secure connection (SSL) or (TLS)"
- Check the box "Requires authentication"
- Change the "Port" to 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS).
- Click the "Next" button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Step 8: The "Your email account was added" will appear. Click the "Finish" button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
That's it! You have successfully completed the Windows Live Mail setup. - Windows 8 Phone

Step 1 : On the Start Screen, swipe your finger from left to right to bring up the App list, tap 'Settings', then tap 'Email + "Accounts'.
Step 2 : Tap 'Add Account' and 'Advanced Setup'.
Step 3 : Enter your Sparklight email address and password, then tap Next.
Step 4 : Select Internet Mail.
Step 5 : For Incoming Email Server
If using POP, select POP3. Then enter 'mail.cableone.net:995'.
This tells the phone your POP mail server is mail.cableone.net using SSL server port 995.
If using IMAP, select IMAP4, then enter 'mail.cableone.net:993'.
This tells the phone your IMAP mail server is mail.cableone.net using SSL server port 993.
Step 6 : Enter your Sparklight username. This should include @cableone.net
Step 7 : For Outgoing Server
If using SSL, enter 'mail.cableone.net:465'.
If using TLS/STARTTLS, enter 'mail.cableone.net:587'
Step 8 : Outgoing Server Requires Authentication should be checked.
Step 9 : Use the same username and password for sending mail should be checked.
Step 10 : Tap Sign in.
If you do not receive any error message, then your account has been successfully created.
If your account cannot be created, your settings may be incorrect. If you feel the issue is password related, try resetting your password at http://mypassword.cableone.net - Windows Live Mail 2011/2012

Your iOS device will automatically configure your Sparklight email account in a few simple steps.
- Tap the Settings icon on the Home screen.
- Under Settings, tap Accounts & Passwords.
- Tap Add Account.
- Tap Other under the email providers listed.
- If prompted, tap Add Mail Account
- Enter your name, Sparklight email address, Sparklight password, and any description in the respective fields.
- Tap Next in the upper right.
- Lastly, tap Save in the upper right.
Your device is now ready to use for your Sparklight email.
If your email doesn't work, please see below for steps to manually set up your device.
Step 1: On your iOS device, Tap to open Settings from the Home screen.
Step 2: Tap Accounts & Passwords in the Settings pane.
Step 3: Tap Add Account.
Step 4: Tap Other from the list.
Step 5: Tap Add Mail Account
Step 6: Enter the following information in the spaces provided:
- Name: Enter your first and last name. This is the name that will appear in the From field of messages you send.
- Email: Enter your entire email address.
- Password: Enter the password for your email account.
- Description: Enter a descriptive name for the account.
Step 7: On the same screen, tap Next.
Step 8: Tap Save to save the account and return to the Accounts & Passwords pane.
Step 9: Tap the Cableone account from the list.
Step 10: Tap on your Account.
Step 11: Verify the following information:
- Name: Enter your first and last name. This is the name that will appear in the From field of messages you send.
- Email: Enter your entire email address.
- Description: Enter a descriptive name for the account.
- Host Name: Enter mail.cableone.net
- User Name: Enter your entire email address.
- Password: Enter the password for your email account.
Step 12: Tap on SMTP.
Step 13: Tap on the primary server mail.cableone.net.
Step 14: Verify the following information:
- Host Name: Enter mail.cableone.net
- User Name: Enter your entire email address.
- Password: Enter the password for your email account.
- Use SSL: On
- Authentication: Password
- Server Port: 465
Step 15: On the same screen, tap Done.
Step 16: Tap on Advanced.
Step 17: Scroll Down and verify the following information:
- Use SSL: On
- Authentication: Password
- IMAP Path Prefix /: Leave this blank
- Server Port: 993
Step 19: On the same screen, tap Accounts in the upper left to return to the Account pane.
Step 20: Tap Done in the upper right
If there are no errors and you see Mail/Notes, your email account has been successfully configured. Should you encounter any issues going forward, it is likely an issue with the user ID or password. To reset your account/email password, please visit our Reset Account/Email Password article.

1. Open Settings of your Android device and tap on Accounts menu in section Personal:

3. On the next screen you will need to choose whether you wish to configure IMAP account.
Simply choose the desired option by tapping on Personal (IMAP):4. The next screen will prompt you to enter your email address. Make sure to type in full Email address:
5. Once done, tap "Manual Setup".
6. Here you will need to indicate your email account password.
NOTE: if by any chance you do not remember your password, you can easily reset it going to mypassword.cableone.net7. Here you will need to type in correct IMAP settings depending on the option you choose.
Make sure to use the following settings for IMAP:
Username: full email address
Password: password for this email address
Server: mail.cableone.net
IMAP Port: 993
Security Type: SSL/TLS (Accept All certificates)8. Once done, tap Next to verify the settings and proceed to Outgoing Server settings menu.
9. Here you will need to fill in the corresponding fields as shown below:

Username: full email address
Password: password for this email address11. Once ready, tap Next to verify SMTP settings and finish the account setup:

Step 5: Click on "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" on the left and then choose the "Add Button" in the setting portion.
Step 6: In the SMTP Server window that opens please enter the following information:- Description: Sparklight
- Server Name: mail.cableone.net

- Authentication Method: Normal Password
- User Name: Your full Sparklight email address
Step 7: Go to the "Advanced" tab at the top of the Properties window and make the following changes under "Server Port Numbers":

If you're not using one of the clients or devices we've specifically mentioned, you can try setting up your client or device with the following settings:
Username: Your entire Sparklight email address.
Password: Your entire Sparklight email password.- Incoming Email Server Type: IMAP
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.cableone.net
- Use SSL: Yes
- Port: 993

- Incoming Email Server Type: POP3
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.cableone.net
- Use SSL: Yes
- Port: 995
- Outgoing Email Server Type: SMTP
- Outgoing Mail Server: mail.cableone.net
- Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS/STARTTLS)
- Use Authentication: Yes
Note: If your client or device does not support SMTP authentication, you won't be able to send mail through your client or device using your Sparklight email address.
If you're having trouble sending mail but you've confirmed that encryption is active for SMTP in your mail client or device, try to configure your SMTP server on a different port (465 or 587).
That's it! Your Sparklight email should now be working on this email client.
