Step 1: Make sure the source and destination boxes are connected to your network. For information on connecting TiVo boxes, go to How to Connect to Your Network article.
Step 2: Make sure that you have enabled transfers in My Account.
Step 3: From the destination TiVo box, press the TiVo button on the remote control to go to TiVo Central and select Now Playing (SD Menu) or My shows (HD menus).
Step 4: From the Now Playing or My shows screen, highlight the name of the source box and press SELECT.
Step 5: From the list of programs on the source TiVo box, highlight the program to transfer and press SELECT.
Step 6: From the Program screen, select Transfer this recording.
If the recording has begun on the source TiVo box, you may also see Transfer from paused point.
If a transfer is already in progress, the new request will be added to the To Do List and scheduled for transfer later.
Note: Programs are transferred one at a time in the order requested. The speed of the transfer depends on a variety of factors. For example, a program recorded at a higher quality takes longer than one recorded at a lower quality, and wireless networks are generally slower than wired networks.
Step 7: From the Getting Program screen, select Start playing to begin viewing the program as it transfers. You can only watch the portion of the recording that has been transferred to the second TiVo box. Because transfer speeds can vary, you may experience pauses during playback if the transfer is not complete.
