Why are my WishList programs not being recorded?
Are there any upcoming episodes available to record?
Programs may not be recorded because there is no upcoming programming available.
Perform the steps below to troubleshoot:
Step 1: To check if there are any upcoming episodes within the next 14 days, go to:
TiVo with HD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Find TV, Movies, & Videos > WishList Saved Searches.
TiVo with SD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Find Programs > WishList Search.
Step 2: Once within WishList Search, there are two ways to check for upcoming programs:
To see all upcoming WishList recordings, select View all upcoming WishList programs. If there are any episodes in the next 14 days, this will show the first 20 upcoming episodes of all applicable WishLists.
To see an individual WishList, select View upcoming programs. This will show all available episodes within the next 14 days.
Step 3: If both lists are empty , there is no available content to record for your particular WishList. You may need to edit your WishList. article for tips on creating a WishList.
Have I chosen my desired recording options correctly?
You may have inadvertently chosen recording settings that are preventing a recording.
To check, perform the following steps:
Step 1: Go to the WishList Search:
TiVo with HD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Find TV, Movies, & Videos > WishList Saved Searches.
TiVo with SD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Find Programs > WishList Search.
Step 2: Select Change recording options and set the desired .
Step 3: If you see Auto-Record WishList programs instead, this means your WishList is not set to automatically record. If you would like your programs to automatically record in the future, go to Was Auto-recording turned off on my WishList (See below).
Did my WishList recording conflict with another recording?
When first created, WishList recordings take the next open spot in your OnePass (or Season Pass) Manager. Depending on the recording options you've chosen, your WishList may create recording conflicts with other WishList or OnePass (or Season Pass) recordings.
You can check if your WishList or any other recordings are conflicting by accessing your To Do List:
TiVo with HD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Manage recordings & downloads > To Do List.
TiVo with SD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Find Programs > To Do List.
Anything marked with a * next to the time is in conflict with another scheduled recording. When you select the conflicting show, the reason for the conflict displays at the bottom of the screen.
For help resolving a recording conflict, see article. or on TiVo article for more ideas on how to resolve conflicts.
Why didn't an available program record?
To determine why an available program did not record, check the Recording History.
You can check the Recording History by going to:
TiVo with HD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Manage recordings & downloads > Recording History.
TiVo with SD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Find Programs > To Do List > View Recording History.
Once you've determined why the program was not recorded, see Early on TiVo article for additional troubleshooting tips to resolve future scheduling conflicts.
Was Auto-recording turned off on my WishList?
If auto-record is turned off, a WishList is unable to record episodes or movies while you're away.
Go to the WishList Search menu to see if auto-recording is turned on or off:
TiVo with HD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Find TV, Movies, & Videos > WishList Saved Searches.
TiVo with SD menus: Go to TiVo Central > Find Programs > WishList Search.
If your WishList is marked with a white star inside a white circle on a blue background, it will automatically record.
If this is missing, select Auto-record WishList programs and set your desired recording options.
