Sparklight customers have the ability to Opt-In to data usage alerts. These alerts are sent via an in-browser notification or pop-up, as well as an email to the email address on file when you reach 75%, 95%, and 100% of your data usage. If you have a pop-up blocker in place, you may not receive the in-browser notification or you will have to allow for the pop-up to appear.

Note: The alert message will only be displayed within a web browser (Example: Internet Explorer). The alerts will NOT display through items such as video streaming or online games.

The data usage notification will remain until you open a web browser. This means it is possible to receive a notification and not see if for a few days if you do not open a web browser.

To Opt-In to Data Usage Alerts, simply follow the instructions below.

1. Log into your online Sparklight account.
2. Click the "settings" tab on the top navigation bar.
3. Click the "Notification Preferences" sub-tab.
4. Find "Data Usage Alerts" in the table and slide the bar to the right so that it reads Yes to turn on data usage alerts.
