Q: Why am I no longer getting certain channel in my channel line-up?
A: Earlier this month, satellite service provider Intelsat announced the loss of control over the Galaxy 15 telecommunications satellite, which was likely disabled by a geomagnetic storm. This satellite is responsible for assisting video providers like ourselves in transmitting signals for a number of channels across our channel line-up.
To offset interruption to their channels, programmers are currently moving impacted channel signals to a new satellite. In turn, we are working diligently with our satellite contractors to align with these alternate satellite signals and avoid extended interruption to video programming.
