Once your order is complete, you’ll move through a few simple steps depending on how your service will be installed. Some customers set up their equipment themselves, while others have a Sparklight technician visit their home for a professional installation.
Below, you’ll find answers to common questions about what happens next.
What to Expect After You Place Your Order
Q: I just purchased Sparklight Internet — what happens next?
A: Once your order is confirmed, we’ll guide you through getting connected. Depending on your setup, you’ll either:
- Pick up your equipment for self-install,
- Receive your equipment by mail, or
- Schedule a professional installation.
You’ll receive updates and reminders along the way, so you always know what to expect.
Self-Install Options
Q: How do I get my equipment if I’m doing a self-install?
A: If your order qualifies for a self-install, you can stop by your local Sparklight office to pick up your equipment. Your kit will include:
- A modem
- One or more eero Wi-Fi devices
- Power cords and cables
- An easy setup guide
Once you’re home, just:
- Plug in your equipment using the guide.
- Call us to activate your account.
- Download the free eero app to set up your Wi-Fi network.

Q: What if my equipment is being shipped instead of picked up?
A: If your order includes shipped equipment, you’ll receive tracking information as soon as it’s on its way. Your self-install kit will include everything you need — just like the in-office pickup option.
Once your kit arrives, follow the same quick steps to connect, activate, and enjoy your Sparklight Internet service.
Professional Installation
Q: How does a professional installation work?
A: If self-install isn’t an option or if you’d prefer a technician visit, we’ll schedule your appointment during checkout. You’ll receive text message updates before your appointment, plus a link with your technician’s photo and bio when they’re enroute.
Here’s what to expect during your appointment:
- Introduction – Your technician will greet you and explain the installation process.
- Line setup – If your home hasn’t had Sparklight service before, they’ll install or activate your service line.
- Survey – The technician will help identify the best placement for your equipment.
- Installation – Your modem and eero Wi-Fi devices will be connected and activated.
- Onboarding – You’ll be guided through downloading the eero app and setting up your home Wi-Fi network.
Before leaving, your technician will make sure everything is working properly so you can start streaming, browsing, and connecting right away.
Q: I just purchased SparklightTV — what happens next?
A:
- Create your password: You will receive a Welcome Email sent to the email you provided during sign up. There will be a link to create a SparklightTV password. The email will arrive 24 hours before your professional install — or within a few minutes if you chose self-install.
- Download the App: SparklightTV is an app-based video service and can be accessed by most smart TV’s and devices in many of the popular app stores such as Apple App Store, Google Play Store and the Fire TV Store. SparklightTV is not available in the Roku App Store.
- Log in: After searching for SparklightTV in your device’s app store, download and open the app. Log in with the email and password you created earlier to start streaming all your favorite shows, movies, sports and more.

Q: When will my service be active?
A: For self-installs, your service will be active right after you’ve hooked up your equipment and completed the quick activation call. For professional installs, your technician will activate your service during the appointment so you’re online before they go.
