As a valued customer, you can sign up for outage text message alerts. By signing up for these alerts, you will receive a text message when a service outage impacts internet service at your home, when the outage is resolved, and updates in between if the outage lasts more than two hours.
Kindly note that text messages will not be dispatched between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in order to avoid disturbing our customers during late evening and early morning hours.
To sign up for text message alerts, follow the below steps.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Open the Mobile App
- Launch the mySparklight mobile app on your device. If you haven't installed it yet, download now to start enjoying a seamless connection and unparalleled control over your internet service.
- Sign In to Your Account
- Use your registered username and password to sign in. If you don't have an account, you can register for an online account.
- Navigate to the Account Section
- From the home screen, tap on the Account icon located at the bottom of the screen.

- Notifications
- Tap Notifications from the Account menu.
- Tap Notifications from the Account menu.
- Edit Text Notifications
- Next, tap the Edit button next to the Text Notifications section. On the following screen, enter the phone number where you would like to receive text messages, then switch the toggle ON next to Outages and tap Save to confirm your preferences. If a notification is enabled, the button will appear green; if it is disabled, the button will be gray. You can also sign up for additional text alerts on this page, including billing and appointment notifications, with each option providing details about the type of messages you will receive. You can turn off any alert at any time by switching its toggle to the OFF (gray) position.
- Next, tap the Edit button next to the Text Notifications section. - Confirmation
- You'll receive a success message letting you know your changes were saved.
Message and data rates may apply. If you wish to opt out of text message alerts, respond to the text message with the word 'stop.' You can also unsubscribe from your account by clicking the edit button and selecting the toggle off next to the type of notice.
