Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Will my monthly bill change?
A: Eligible Prescott customers will be moved to a lower standard monthly rate, and most of those customers also received an update to 1 Gig internet. This move will complete by 9/2.
Beginning with your next billing cycle, eligible customers should see the updated rate reflected on their statement. That means you're getting more value from your Sparklight service, with most customers receiving faster speeds too, with no action needed on your part.
If you're not currently enrolled in Auto Pay and paperless billing, we can help you get started. In addition to potential monthly savings, Auto Pay and paperless billing make managing your account easier by helping you avoid missed payments, reduce paper clutter and conveniently access billing information online.
Q. Why did my internet speed change?
A. At the end of August we upgraded eligible Prescott residential internet customers to 1 Gig internet as part of our continued investment in faster, more reliable service. We also moved eligible customers to a lower monthly rate.
We appreciate our customers and are always looking for meaningful ways to bring more value to the communities we serve. This upgrade is one way we're putting that commitment into action, giving eligible customers monthly savings and, in most cases, more speed to support streaming, working from home, gaming, video chatting and connecting more devices throughout the home.
Q. Why is Sparklight making this change?
A. We're continually investing in our network and looking for opportunities to provide customers with greater value. This update is designed to deliver a better internet experience through faster speeds, lower pricing and a simplified service offering for eligible customers.
Q. Do I need to do anything?
A. Most customers do not need to take any action.
If your current equipment supports your upgraded service, the update was completed automatically. Customers who require upgraded equipment to receive faster speeds will receive separate communication with next steps.
Q. Why didn't my speed change?
A. Some customers were already subscribed to 1 Gig internet service before this update.
If you were already receiving 1 Gig speeds, you may still have received the benefit of lower pricing even though your internet speed remained the same.
Q. Will I need a new modem?
A. Not all customers require new equipment.
If your current modem does not support your upgraded internet speed, you may be eligible for replacement equipment. Customers who need upgraded equipment will receive instructions explaining available replacement options and any next steps that may be required.
Q. What if I'm currently receiving promotional pricing?
A. Customers who are currently receiving lower promotional pricing or who are on certain lower-priced plans may continue to keep their existing pricing unless they choose to make a change to their service.
Q. How can I tell if I've received the update?
A. Eligible customers may notice faster internet speeds, a lower monthly recurring charge, or both. You should also see any applicable pricing changes reflected on your upcoming billing statement.
Q. Who can I contact if I have questions?
A. We're here to help. If you have questions about your account, pricing, internet speed or equipment, please contact Sparklight Customer Care or visit your local Sparklight office for assistance.
